My grandpa used to organize the bike parade every year, and the kids would go all out decorating them. He made the best chowder (Manhatten style) and clambake for everyone. Those were the days, and I envy you for still being to enjoy it every year! Just watch out for that chain, or the day could go downhill in a hurry for you!!!!

Just wanted to say that

As I've told some of you before, I ride an Antique Bicycle in our local Parade.

My High School Teacher who turned out to be a mentor/friend, asked my buddy and I to ride two of his bikes when we were sophmores.

This will be our thirtyth year riding in the Parade.

My Teacher/Friend passed away two years ago so its kinda sad.

I hope you all have a great time with Friends and family.

Thats Jack Schylings son.

That chain has ruined about three pairs of shorts over the years and twice put a nasty cut in my hand when I put it back on. Its got three springs that give it tension.

The Bike is a 1929 English racing bike and one of the first "recliner" style bikes.
