Replacing Diverter-Tee system to Loop system
Hi, I and in the process of replacing a cast-iron monoflow system to a 3 zone copper loop system.
While re-piping I noticed that in the middle of the first floor loop in the kitchen there is a hydronic kickspace heater. The inlet/outlet are in 1/2" and the main is in 3/4".
Should I make a manifold with a couple of T's and reduce it down to 1/2"? Will this affect the BTU output down the end of the loop?
Thanks for your feedback

I hope ?
You engineered the system for GPH sizing. monoflow systems and loop systems are not exactly the same. The loop system will have to have a higher head, useing the total length of the piping. and if you send all that water through a 1/2" kick space heater you'll come up short when it gets cold.0 -
Thats correct. Using a couple of 3/4" tees reduced to 1/2" going to the kickspace heater.0
