temperature gauges/sensors

We're installing a Viessmann condensing wall hung boiler and are currently laying in the supply/return lines. Two temperature gauges came with the equipment with brass fittings that look like sweat fittings the gauges insert into. How to the darn things go on and where? We assume one in the supply line and one in the return but do we need a special fitting? We're using 1 inch copper lines.

If this is a Vitodens 200 (only Viessmann condensing wall-hung I know of currently available in the US), the boiler itself does not use external temperature sensors.
If required for the system, the low-loss header, mixing valves and indirect DHW storage tank all use external sensors. Instructions are certainly provided. This almost sounds like DIY... If so, I really would suggest professional installation by a contractor familiar with the equipment. If not, please, please, please have your work reviewed by such!0
