Oil Burner Parts, and Parts, and Parts !

I'll try to keep this as short and to the point as possible.
A friend of mine got stuck with the contents of an oil burner supply house inventory with invoices/reciepts for over $31,000.00 worth of stuff. (list attached)
In addirion to this, a 200 year old farmhouse, that had the heating system completly ripped out! Now she needs to sell the inventory in order to afford a heating system before winter.
These two situations are just a couple of the endeavors that her ex thought he could pull off with NO experiance! (It's easy being in this business! Right?) Oh, did I forget to mention, He did it on HER Dime!& Credit report!
Anyway, She is looking to get $20,000.00 for all as a package. Anyone interested in a $11,000 savings? Hmmmm?
located in the Catskills in NY, we can arrange for shipment/Pick-up/delivery reasonably.

Thanks for helping if you can.

Al

PB, she has most of what she needs

for a decent oil-fired hot-water system. Why not try to find a contractor who will work with her on it, and maybe do a deal on the remainder?

Not discussing price of any job or contractor.
Just showing any interested person what's there.

she had a few contractors look at it, best shot for her is a mod/con with baseboard, none of which is on that list.
And yes.. most of the numbers are from RE Michaels

You didn't have to list the price of the parts to show the list of parts.

It takes a great deal of money to stock a service van so a percentage of markup is necessary to recover the cost of having parts on the shelf. Contractors don't need you to show the lowest discounted cost of the parts and post it for the world to see. Too much info. It is hard enough to competing with HD we don't need this.

You should check your math, this only comes out to $28,713.14, this has shady deal written all over it!!

    Bill
I Appoligize, I didn't even give it a thought about the pricing being posted and used to question contractors prices.
That was by no means my intent! but your right I will take it down. I just attached the file that she sent me not even thinking what others might do with it.
and just so you know, I was only trying to help somone who is in a bad situation. there is absolutly no gain in this for me at all. I have been on this wall for a long time. helping others when I can, and mostly learning from the best this industry has to offer. I too am a contractor, been in the oil heat business and now Radiant for most of my life I am also an oil heatII instructor at our county BOCES.
    I should have known better. I guess I don't think enough like a criminal/shister.
I also asked Dan pryor to posting this thread,I should have mentioned the itemized prices I guess
like the old saying goes..."no good deed goes un-punished!"
Again sorry to all who I have offended
