Copper tube sizing
Why is 3/4 O.D. copper NOT listed in the engineering guide for refrigeration? Such as,a Copelaweld mn#F3AD-0201-CFV cond unit,R-22,@+20 evap produces 14,550 btu's.The engineering guide suggests 5/8 OD for up to 25' and 7/8 OD for upto 50'.I slip in 3/4OD copper for the actual 35' run .Am I short changing myself? Thanks To All!0 -
OD COPPER
Evening Brad!I am talking of 3/4 OD copper, not the "plumbers" 3/4 ID which is our(ACR) 7/8 OD copper. Thanks!3/4 OD copper is used mostly for AC units.0 -
Duh, my bad!
I should have read your question more carefully...and rambled about what you obviously well know already :+
Best answer I can give (and still be right) is:
I dunno!
Good question though...0 -
