Dead Men?

Mike,
It means just what it says!
It is advice from men who helped develop steam heat and worked with it years ago. Since steam's heyday was so long ago, the people who knew it best are now dead!
ps, I know Steamhead, steam is starting to make a comeback, especially with people like you who take the time to understand it and improve on system designs! Steam heat is by no means dead, but it's not near as common as it once was!

What's it mean?
I've been here for a little while now and still not sure what it means and instead of spending pointless hours online finding junk I'll ask the experts!
Thanks in advance.

Pioneers
I like to think of them as the Pioneers in our industry-those who have gone before us and paved the way. I know that welcomes in some of the water and (gasp) tin knockers, but those are the people that gave us the platforms from which we sprang. springed. sprung. STARTED FROM.0 -
