Fourth CIPH Habitat Build Planned for Charlottetown, PEI
STORY
At the 374th meeting of the Board in Banff, AB the Board voted in favor of building the fourth CIPH Habitat Home in Charlottetown, PEI in 2007. Spearheaded by the CIPH Atlantic Region Board under the leadership of President Bill Hooper (ITT Industries Canada) the Board also viewed this as a terrific opportunity to build the home leading up to CIPH's Annual Business Conference set for Charlottetown, June 17-20, 2007.
"Since 1994, the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating members have contributed more than $3.5 million in products and cash to Habitat for Humanity Canada and helped over 500 Habitat families move into simple, decent, affordable homes across Canada. The Board along with CIPH Atlantic Region are delighted that the Region has taken the charge to provide a hand up not a hand out," reported CIPH Chairman of the Board Kenneth Webster (Viessmann Manufacturing).
CIPH Habitat homes have also been built in Niagara Falls, Moncton, and the third is currently under construction in Winnipeg.
