First time, I ordered a boiler to replace a leaking old one in early January. I had to wait two weeks to get it because the manufacturer was closed for inventory. Now, I am waiting with a homeowner for a part from their boiler's manufacturer. Once again, the boiler manufacturer ( a different one) is closed for inventory. No heat for a week at the beginning of January.
Why in the world do heating equipment manufacturers have thier fiscal year end in mid heating season, be closed down for a week to do inventory, and leave thier customers in the cold?
I'm sure none of the contractors here close down for a week midwinter.
I just don't get it, I just don't get it..... Another mystery of the universe, I guess.
