Moving Radiator while boiler is live/active?

Hello. I'm wondering how I can move an old cast iron radiator while my boiler is active....The radiators (two) are in an area of our kitchen that I'm remodeling. It's cold out and I don't want to shut the boiler down if I don't have to.
I'm thinking if I shut off the closest zone valve that the problem radiator can be cut out and moved while I put the new floor down. However, will the air in the system when I reconnect the radiator cause problems in the boiler. Is this something I should call a plumber for?
Thanks for any assistance you can provide.
