use niether line call a professional unless you are willing to risk a fuel spill in your basement and if this is a warm air furnace have it tested for cracks in the heat exchanger

    Fuel Line

I have an old Homart Furnace. The outside tank appears to have water coming in from somewhere, in the meantime I want to run a fuel line from the top of the tank. However there appears to be two lines. One going through a filter and the other directly to the motor. Which line do I use?

    listen to

ED and also think really hard about just replacing that furnace for both safty and fuel eff. reasons. You could most likly buy a new furnace with the fuel savings in a couple of years while keeping your family safe. Best Wishes J.Lockard

    Where is the tank

Water coming in from somewhere could very easily mean oil escaping from somewhere. If this tank is underground, you could be contanimating the soil and creating a huge clean up bill for your self. Get it checked by a professional ASAP.
