It was with great pride that I was able to attend my son's graduation from the Great Lakes Naval training facility. It was a wonderful experience for me and the pride and honor my son has gained is incredible! He has definately made me one very proud Father!!!

Are all the gray hairs worth that picture?

    Congratulations all around!

Seeing your son at that milestone must be incredible. That he chose to serve in these times makes me proud to be an American, that we still have young men and women answering the call. My heartfelt congratulations and thanks to your son, and to you for raising him so well.

My own father graduated from Great Lakes in 1943 (with several others :) so the moment is not lost on me.

    Best wishes and Godspeed.

I share pride of family with you also. At 57 and 35 years married my hair is graying and my whole beard is gray.

Wouldn't trade even one gray hair. Each Sunday Morning I'm blessed with a Hug & Kiss from 32 year old Son Frank as we have coffee.

Hope you post updates sharing with your wall family

    Answering the call

I have a great deal of respect for any man or woman who answers the call during these troubled times. You certainly should be a very proud Dad. My nephew recently graduated from Marine boot camp and has moved on to his next assignment. He said he would like to go into combat -- a very daunting choice.

God Bless all of our military.
