Thermostat compatability

Yes, but setting back a steam system does not make any savings. You need to set-back over eight hours, fire the boiler while set-back, and finished recovering approx. one hour before being occupied after set-back. Setting back more than 3-5 degree's is not good either.
I would stay with the current t-stat.

Thermostat compatibility
Hi,
Yesterday I started another thread regarding installing a 24 volt thermostat well I found out the model of the thermostat that I wanted to install. Also I have a few questions regarding the installation. The current thermostat is a Honeywell Round Manual thermostat. The boiler is a Weil-Mclain EG-40 Steam Boiler. There is a wire with 3 wires running to the thermostat, currently only 2 are used.
The new thermostat that I want to install is a Honeywell T8090 Chronotherm, will it be possible to install this thermostat with the current boller and wiring situation.
Thank you,
Michael J. Cascio0
