Has anybody out there, have any experiences with tank cleaning equipment? (good or bad) My company does alot of oil tank changeouts do to sludge and water problems. I would like to find out if our customers have other options rather than pulling off the top of the tank or $1,300 changeouts. I've researched the tank cleaning system sold by Hamco tank systems, has anybody used tried it in the field?

Roofs go bad, refrigerators and stoves wear out. If an oil tank lasts anywhere from 30 to 50 years it really isn't that big of a deal to get it changed. You gave a price of $1300 which can vary area to area but using this price divied it by 30 years. It really isn't that expensive.
Just something to think about,

I used them
years ago with great success, but as already said, I like to change out the tank now.
Fiberglass and inert plastic tanks with a floating suction pickup is the way to go, JMO!0
