Pressure sensor at the end of the run?
Scott Scherer

Would it make sense to add a pressure sensor at the end of a low pressure campus 2-pipe system to help the boilers back in the plant adjust sooner to the drop in pressure? The distance is approximately 1240' from the plant. The end of the run also happens to be a dorm and kitchen area which causes a spike in the steam usage. Any suggestions?

That should work well
but I'm sure you know that this would be an operating control rather than a high limit. You would still need the normal high limit at the boiler.
The proper control to use would depend on the pressure you carry. All Steamed Up, Inc.
