Oly took the biggest fish of the day with a 30# King salmon. The waters off Ucluelet, Vancouver Isl., BC (about 300 mi NW of Seattle)were choppy, foggy and rainy. The fish were hitting steadily. I lost three and kept one. Fred Meier and his son Matt, were consumate hosts. Lots of boiler shoptalk while waiting for the fish to bite. Good thing I took the seasick pills...some did not and paid the price.

    fish! And you were worried that our crew had fished out the Pacific! September is chinook/spring/tyee/king salmon month in B.C.
