How do I find out the age of a continental boiler. Last week I ran into this unit it is model CB-G6 serial 28577. In Dan's library the only listing on continental is prior to 1959. Could this boiler be that old? If it is it has aged well.

That boiler
was not made by the Continental company of Dunkirk, NY which later became part of National Radiator Co. Another Continental company operated here in Baltimore and that's who made your boiler- this appears in the Hydronic Rating Handbook from 1978. I don't have the date on your boiler, but it would have been prior to 1978.0
