Manifold for Indoor Basketball Court

We finally got the contract today after working on 12 proposals with misc deducts and options. A 3600 sq/ft residence with a 5284sq/ft indoor basketball court. It took 4 months of revising bids, but, it is all more that worth it.

These will be the manifolds for the floor heat in the basketball court. Earthlee 1½ trunk x ¾" branches x 7 loops. ¾" x 500 Wirsbo Hepex will go down in about 2 weeks. I like how "Beefy" they are. I am thinking the homeowner will have to build some type of bench seat to conceal them. I used Mupro Sonic Green-Line clamps and the MPC hangers to support them when we mount them to the wall. I am breaking from tradition with the Wirsbo Propex fitting and moving to the SSC fitting. It is only listed in the plumbing catalog...go figure.

It should be a great project. I am tentatively specifying the new Lochinvar KBN "Knight" boiler.

regards,

PR

    Interesting....

.... a home with a larger indoor basketball court than its living space. Should be an interesting proposition at resale time.

However, your workmanship looks great. I too look forward to more pictures as you make progress.

    Balancing

How are you going to balance flow between loops?

    Equal loop lengths

are critical, and all I ever design around. The valves at the end of the manifold help to power purge on the system fill.
