Great \"New\" Tool

Finally found a spud wrench MADE for radiators.
Grips GREAT in every size I've tried and certainly fine for installation. Haven't yet tried removal of an 80+ year-old joint. Considering the weight, it's very good iron.

nye tool
that style wrench has been around for over a hundred years Mike. and that one sure looks its age!0 -
Are they still made?0 -

Still made
But the quality of the metal leaves a lot to be desired. I have snapped the ends off more than one, as well as twist the whole tool. Yours looks like a solid built tool - hold onto it!

Great for installing
but when removing older valves, the tabs inside often break.0 -
I hate it when that happens!!!!!!!! (NM)

Stink
The new ones stink! Stick with the old ones. Looks like they are made beter!0 -
When cut down, it makes a perfect extraction tool for the nipple on a Sloan flush valve.0 -
They break off
the old tabs but spin the new ones in very well.
I've had one for ........ oh never mind, Hunt will tell you.
