How does Superior Boiler (made by Superior Boiler Company, Bayshore, NY) compare to other name brand boilers?

Any comments are appreicated, I am planning on updating my boiler before this heating season.

Thanks.

    There was a

Superior Boiler in Emmaus, PA - that went out of business, but we never heard of a new company by that name anywhere else, much less Brooklyn, NY!

There are a few makers I never heard of because of extremely small regional presence; but that one is not a name I recognize. I would err on the side of safety and stick with a proven company that is a major player. The last thing you need is a boiler that cannot provide parts a few years down the road because they went belly up.

Mike, my company used to rep for superior boiler. I work on alot of them. They have been around for a while. I would say that they are decent but the quality control dept. is lacking a little bit. I have had alot of issues with refactory falling after about two seasons of use. We recently picked up Hurst which I am very pleased with. Nice Scotch Marine.

  • Bay Shore NY ?? Really ?

We do remember that Enerjet Boilers were from Bay Shore NY.

  • Superior Boiler Works

in Hutchinson Kansas is an industrial boiler company. They have been around since way back in the 1930's. I do not believe they make a residentail boiler.

If this is a remake of Enerjet Boilers I would stay clear. I have had many problems with Enerjet Boilers in the past.

  • Tim , so have we that is why I wanted to qualify that .
