BG or Taco?

Hello,

I have a little commercial job, there are apartments right over the boiler room. They want a new 1/4 horse boiler pump installed, my question is which is likely to be quieter, a Taco 122 or a BG 2 1/2" Booster? Thanks for any comments, I told the maintenance guy I would check into it.

    taco 1600 pump

May I suggest the Taco 1600 pump with a 1/4hp resilient mounted motor? One of the attributes of the Taco 1600 series is the resilient rings which isolate any motor vibration from resonating throughout the piping. FYI; Taco offers the 1600, and 1900 series pumps that are hydraulically the same, but the 1900 series is a true close coupled design, and the 1600 series resilient mounted, which makes it a better candidate for applications where noise may be an issue. Please visit the Taco web site at www.taco-hvac.com for more information on these two horizontal inline pumps. For your convenience I attached the catalog data.

    I agree with Joe

Taco 1600, I have installed more of these than I can count and never a problem! Also easy to fix!

    Little commercial job

With Apt's. over the boiler room. Im I missing something? How big is this building and what size is the boiler, longest run? The 1600 pump can do alot, but for small commercial?
