where do I get 50's style forced air vents? or how do I replace?

I have old 50's style vents. Where do I get them or how do I replace them? they are odd shaped (see photo). The size of the vent is 2'wide x 4.5" high x 3" deep at base.

the vent in the floor is only 1' x 2"

I've upgraded my furnace to high efficey with a Hepa and UV lamp system.

I'm missing some parts to some units or would like to look at alternatives. I belive which would require me to change baseboards in most of my rooms.

    Short of custom fabrication

I wonder if Hart and Cooley might have these as surplus? Interesting devices. They do have a "current" series of baseboard registers. Check out:

Their #462 and #472 seem to come close at least in principle. If the ones you have are Hart and Cooley they might have the tooling and could make them at some expense. Hope it is not that important!

If they are similar in principle perhaps you could have them fabricated by a sheet metal shop. Perhaps not as fancy in profile but similar in function.

I assume by increasing the unit to High Efficiency that your airflow has increased and that you will be adding outlets?

If that is the case, maybe move older units into one room and use the new ones of whatever stripe in their own room for consistency?
