Pipe dope
I use rector seal #5 for all threaded joints coat the male threads wipe excess off and I then put a "nick" of dope on the female threads (small amount). Tighten accordingly.0 -
another question on this, When the vent has to be replaced again in a few years, will there be trouble removing it due to useing the dope? Thanks0 -
In my experience
using pipe dope makes taking a joint apart possible ... without a Sawzall.0
