Beware the control placements ! If they mount on the top, you're going to need a mirror to see any numbers up there with only 36" of height.

The Biasi controls mount on the rear, next to the Flue and are much easier to see and get to when needed. A bit more room for piping too! Best of luck. Chris

I just got a call from a friend of mine, he has a customer with an oil fired boiler in a crawl space 36" high and the boiler needs to be replaced any suggestions. thanks.

Wiel Mclain boilers have openings in the top and rear for the flue pipe but the biasi would be a better choice for cleaning

You need

a 3 pass boiler with a rear flue and piping. Buderus G115,
Crown Freeport, Biasi B10. The Biasi is one of the lighest CI boilers out there. A few other makers are out there also like NTI's Oddessy. The WM Gold and Peerless models can rear flue but putting in the top mounted piping might be tough.
