    Thank you, Dan Holohan

When I was first diagnosed with cancer, I was terrified of what lay ahead of me. I wasn't sure that I had the strength to keep it together and get through this. At the time, I had no idea just how much of an impact the support of my family and friends would have on my recovery. I have no doubt that I will survive this battle and have decided to focus on the positive things that I have gained from this experience. I consider the positives to be a gift. Of course the most precious of these being the love of my family. They have been my cheerleaders, my helpers, and my inspiration when I been at my worst. The most amazing gift has been the caring and generosity of others, many of whom are strangers. But we are all united by one cause, to find a cure for cancer. With your donations, we are one step closer to achieving our goal. Thank you Dan for the opportunity through this site to meet so many compassionate people. I cannot express how touched I am by the outpouring of support. THANK YOU ALL!

    After donating

I was heading off to an estimate. The lady of the house was wearing a pink T-shirt and on the wall, hung four visor caps - all pink. She's obviously either a survivor or supporter. I wanted to speak up, but couldn't find the words. I didn't want her to think I was bringing up the current involvement for a sales pitch, so I kept quiet.

We're all in this together - as one.

    Janice, If I may...

My wife Kathleen is in the fight as well. Her battle is with a lesser-known form of cancer - but more deadly in the long run. Both of the fine gents who posted above me are among the few here at The Wall that have known about it for a long time.

She has also found strength in her support groups, and two years ago she decided to quit her full-time work and persue other things. She has since made her business very successful, is playing soccer for the first time ever (with women half her age!), coaches our daughter in softball, and has a mean game of tennis going.

It's amazing to me how she has become a STRONGER person through all of this. I'm sure the same is happening with you.

Also, you are now a part of the best website in the universe...

Take Care and God Bless. PJO
