Is KEK Boiler Cleaner and Conditioner OK for Rubber Seals?

that can make steam in 5 minutes (meaning from ambient to most rads getting steam (hot) is so overfired as to be dangerous!

Unless of course you live on the moon, where the atmospheric pressure is about 3 p.s.i absolute, and water boils at 90°F

Is KEK Boiler Cleaner and Conditioner OK for Rubber Seals?

My new WM SGO-4 boiler has just been installed. Generates steam in five minutes instead of 45!

The boiler has KEK Cleaner and Conditioner in the water. I checked with Weil McLain and their tech responded with the safe "We do not recommend chemicals be added. Especially petroleum based compounds. Seal deterioration will occur, resulting in leakage between sections".

Is this simply the safe party line and KEK is OK to keep in the boiler, or should I flush the boiler again and use just clean water? I want to maintain this baby so it works perfectly for as long as possible.

Thanks to everyone, especially Steamhead and MadDog for all your help with advice over the past six months. Ed Wallace did the work and he is as meticulous as can be. Great job.
