    what do you think

could it be possible to heat a coffee shop with the hot coffee we drink? A stainless steel boiler some type of automated shot feeded to supply the coffee beans to the system a few fan coils that generate heat and a large storage tank to store the coffee.
The average cup of coffee is 180 degrees and theres got to be some way to make this an open system to supply hot coffee and heat your local dunkin donuts??
    the possibilities are endless

    Indeed

If you have enough customers to drink all the coffee needed to heat the shop, indeed it can be done. However the leg pulling your doing here is enough exercise to keep you warm and over heat you in the coldest of winters or seasons

    Might work...

I tried heating my pool one time with flatulence, but all I succeeded in doing was clearing the pool.

Back to the drawing board! ;)

    Drink enough coffee

and you've got to pee. We can run that through a plate-and-frame exchanger. Pressure drop might be an issue, but we'll just ask the young guys to provide the stream.

    Not really,

Since that hot air produces a chill of just above absolute zero! Makes no sense at all!

The only problem with that hot air is it is toxic and corrosive.

    I like it

I wonder whether the oil in the coffee would change the capacity. The viscosity would increase (I like my coffee thick) and you would probably need to use pex and stainless pumps/fittings (acid corrosion.) Maybe have a main truck at 180F running past each table, one tap to get coffee to drink, the other to a panel rad.

Just imagine sending the sample to George at Rhomar for testing. :)

I'll send The Lovely Naoko to participate

in the demonstration project. She has never met a coffee shop she didn't like ;-)

    IT'll WORK!

run it though potable rated pex, to a fan coil certified with potable systems, 20° delta T to holding tank.OR...you could also make it extra thick, dilute it with cold water to 110° and run it through the floor for radiant coffee system
