Better Aquastats?

Part number is 107408, comes in a 4 ounce can. As far as protecting your kids from scalding, most new shower valves have automatic anti scald built in, but you also can get whole house 3-way mixing valves that won't allow the water temp above 145. There are undersink versions as well, if you only want one fixture protected. Our Whole-House models are the AM series, NPT, union & sweat models available sizes from 1/2 to 1". Teflon coated moving parts minimize mineral buildup. When you pipe them, run a seperate line of hot water for the dish washer and/or laundry, making sure that the sink isn't on the same line. That way, the dish washer and clothes washer gets the highest temp water, cleaning & sanitizing the dishes better, and saving electricity by not needing auxiliary temperature boost. New To Me

Just saw my first electronic aquastat (Honeywell L 7224) by accident; never even knew they existed! I'd like to graduate up to a very accurate aquastat and a very accurate boiler tridicator for all of my jobs. Any opinions?

    Beware...

if its used as a final safety device (high limit) it MUST be guaranteed to fail in a safe condition...

Hey work great as controllers and aquastats, but watch out when using them as high limits in critical situmacations...

I understand that some of the 7224 models have an adjustable Hi Limit Differential. Does anybody know the maximum differential that can be set? The manual doesn't specify it.

    Thanks,

seems to me you got a lousy supply(nm)

  • Aquastats

more details: i have the aquastat set at 125, dont want the kids getting scalded. Would setting it to 140 stop it from cycling on and off within seconds? secondly, heat trasfer grease: ridgewood plumbing supply doesnt have it.

oh yes and I would put a mixing valve on to temper it back to 125

    Limit

usually any MH control that starts with a L is a limit. If it is just a operating control it will start with a T for thermostat. bob

    Yikes

4 ounces of MH heat transfer paste in one location is a scary thought. Be REAL careful when you open that sucker cause the whole world is gona turn silver:)
