you must have a tankless coil the mixing valve is bad needs replacing or better yet if you are the homeowner think about a new boiler and an indirect water heater that would solve your problem

hot water shortage in the winter time

    Hi,
We have an old "22" Kohler oil boiler I believe from 1950's.We are absolutely happy with the heat that this boiler produce, but have shortage of hot water during the winter months. My oil service company reset the temperature limits in the beginning of the winter, but that didn't help. Any ideas of what can cause that problem? Any professional recommendations?

    Thank you,
    Karolina

thanks, for your reply. Yes, I'm a homeowner of a three family house, and have tenants that complaint about this problem.
  • A perfect candidate

for an indirect water heater . If sized right , hot water should never be an issue again . A higher upfront cost is offset by the recovery rate of these tanks , as well as a lifetime warantee on many models .

The coil in that old Kohler did you proud , but after 50+ years and hot water needs for 3 families , it's time for retirement . Our company frequently gives discounts when a boiler and indirect are installed together . Good luck Karolina .
