Old gravity system...adding cast baseboard

Has it been converted to forced flow?
If not, I'd say there's extremely little chance of getting gravity flow through the the baseboards--way too much restriction and not enough high difference to drive the gravity circulation.
If converted to forced flow, the only problem you might have is balance ;) Your piping idea seems good for the baseboard. Try to replace the standing rads with at least the same EDR of baseboard--perhaps a bit more.
As to the small rad in the bath--if more than 15' (including fittings) or so I'd honestly run it ¾" or even 1" if more than 60' or so. With almost zero restriction in the gravity piping, you just can't add much delta-p.

Old gravity system...adding cast baseboard
Hey guys
This system was installed by someone else originally. Now it is a standard gravity piping system. First supply is first return. Not a big house. The customer wants to remove two rads towards the end. Now piped in with 1 1/4 pipe. I was going to break the fitting at the end and continue the piping and catch three pieces of cast baseboard. Each with their own supply and return back to the existing pipe. The baseboard is only 3/4" in and out. Will this work?
Also they want to add a small radiator in a bathroom they added. I was going to run 1/2" copper over to the boiler and tie it in there. I don't see a problem. Any input appreciated.

Paul,
How is this piped? Maybe your answer lies in a small pump and TRV's. Chris0 -
Thanks guys. It is piped with a pump. But the replacement was done and they jsut connected it quick. They tied the supplies together into the supply tap, and the returns together into a 007. First supply is first return. It was not converted to a reverse loop.0
