Variable Flow Pump Sizing

Figure out what your ft of head is for your pipe loop, contact either your Taco or B&G local rep. and let them run the selection. I would hope this is more that a single loop, I think 3 or 4 loops with same # of pumps might be a good decision. Good luck.

Pump Sizing with Variable Flow
Hi I'm designing a residential building using PTACs with HW coils & motorized valves for cooling/heating. When I multiply 2gpm to the number of units the total is over 600 GPM. Building cooling load at 20 Delta T comes out to about 450 GPM.
Normally variable speed pumps can match the load easily, but the developer is selling the building and does not care about long term payback. He want to use constant speed pumps only.
Does anyone know how I should size the pumps?0 -
