Possibly an urban legend but the registration site does say to register cell phones as well.

Just saw this over at alt.hvac Don't know if it's true that cell phone numbers will be released but it might be a good idea to get on the list.

    JUST A QUICK REMINDER...

In less than 31 days, cell phone numbers are being released to
telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sales calls to
your cell phones. You will be charged for these calls (or at least
have your minutes used up by them). Call this number from your cell
phone 888-382-1222 or register on-line at www.donotcall.gov. It is the
national DO NOT CALL list. It only takes a minute of your time. It
blocks your number for 5 years. Please pass this on to everyone you
know who may be interested. This same number also works for your home
phone. Call from the phone that you'd like to register.

    Urban Legend.

I think it's another urban myth.

    Absolutely correct

There is a US Governmentt web site to register that you do not want telemarketing calls. I registered when it first became available and I have not been bothered with any calls of that nature. Here is an official government link to read about this.

My wife saw an article saying it was another internet legend
and that the number listed to call was neither helpful or harmful. Only a matter of time though before the product pusher do get into the cell phones.........ROOKIE
