I already tried that website and wasn't able to find anything. If you could tell me exactly on what to click on that would help. Sorry to be a PITA, but I just can't seem to find anything there.

Hi guys. I'm looking for a Install/Owners manual with a wiring diagram for a Lockinvar boiler; model#PBN0250 serial# I004908. Does anyone know where I can find one? I tried Lockinvar.com and that website is a joke! There was a Lockinvar service phone # on the boiler as well. Left a message there yesterday and have yet to hear back. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Here you go

PBN series is the powerfin. I went to Lochinvar.com and clicked on boilers. Click on Powerfin, and it makes a lot of other information available. (Submittal, spec, wiring diagram, piping diagram, sequencer, warranty information.)

Here is the IOM and wiring diagram on the 250K Powerfin. Let me know if you have trouble accessing/downloading any other info, I would be glad to help.

Here is the link to the manual

    http://209.149.244.233/knight/pdf/KB-IO.pdf

Here are the steps to get to it:

    1) Open http://www.knightheatingboiler.com

    2) Hover over "learn more" with your mouse pointer. A menu will appear with links for several manuals.

    3) Select "Installation Manual".

    Thanks

Thanks, I found it. I was actually spelling it wrong. I spelled it L-O-C-K instead of L-O-C-H. Try going to Lockinvar.com, they way I spelled it originally and you'll see why I was having so much trouble.

I think the manual reset on the hi limit stat might be tripped but it looks like the button is broken off and has been for some time. I assumed it just pops out when tripped and tried pushing it back in to reset it, but I didn't push in so I assumed it wasn't tripped. Does this reset button work how I described or is it different?

you need a thin object to press it back in the reset position.(pocket screwdriver).
why did it trip? (high limit is a safety device. it tripped for a reason.)

I'll try the pocket screwdriver again, and be more precise. I don't know why it would have tripped, stat stuck closed, burner relay stuck closed, I'll check the usual.

    Scott,
That units high limit is a honeywell ennem panel mount type. The reset is very small and little force goes a long way when resetting it.

As for a burner relay sticking closed... that interesting it really doesnt have a burner relay. The HSI ignition system controls the power to the valves. Just guessing that if your operating control has failed the manual reset high limit is doing its job by safely shutting th eunit down.

Let me know if you havent gotten your manuals yet. The wiring diagram should be your priorty, all safties are in series.

Thanks for your reply. I got the manual and wiring diagram. They sent a different tech over today. Oddly enough, he went there Friday and they told him the no heat call was for a Reznor mounted 20 feet up and not close to a wall and he didn't have any way to access it so it was rescheduled for today anyway, but the didn't tell the weekend crew that.

Anyway, I spoke to him and he said the hi limit itself was bad (I'm not sure in what way) and he jumped it out and was going to R.E. Michael to see if he could get something similiar so the hi limit safety didn't have to stay jumped out until we get the the OEM part. I explained to him before he went that the manual reset may be different then the norm so to watch for it. Hopefully he made the correct diagnosis.

While I have you here, I noticed that the IO manual doesn't specify certain things. I saw that there was an adjustable time delay feature on it. What does the delay adjust to/from? Does that board perform any other functions? How exactly would you trouble shoot that board? To the left of that is the ignition control...how would you troubleshoot that?

Thanks again for the help. I'll keep you abreast of what happens.
