My latest copper chopper
I had some old Sparco bodies on the shelf, along with a handful of Taco ZV power heads.
Sloan Flushometer caps, chrome flanged tail pieces for the 4 into 2 exhaust. An old bronze closet flange for the stand, copper fin tube boiler sections for the front forks.
The tube, and copper flashing for the tank, are all scrap or used pieces from various jobs.

I wonder
WHAT do you do in your "spare" time ?
At the price of scrap right now that baby's worth some bucks

Way cool!! Best use I've ever seen for for a 3-wire Taco. You could call it a Bulltaco, but that's been used.0 -
That's the nicest one yet
4-stroke? Love the front forks & shiny chrome wheels. When are you going to build one that we can take to the track and race?

you don't use your mind for evil!0 -
It's nice to see
Something other than a big ol' single "thumper".(kind of reminds me of the old 4 cylinder 125's Honda made in the early 70's) Now the challenge is for a V twin. Let's keep our Harley bretheren in the loop too !
Nice job H R . Chris0 -
v-twin
I did the v-twin using old spark plugs from the van cut-off at the ceramic and old pump bearings for wheels but your frame looks much better than mine. Great Job.

Your sweat joints are amazing. Were they all tinned?0 -
An opposed twin
Is in the finishing stage. The seat looks like that Rolling Stones album cover with the tongue
I have a Guzzi styled twin in mind next. I need to find a couple dead Armstrong circs with the cooling fins on them.
hot rod

Hot Rod,
Two things:
1)Stick with the Taco stuff...I'll get you something with cooling fins.
2) With the cost of copper, and the amount you have in this thing, you probably could have bought a real Harley.
You do great stuff.
Maybe I'll comission another one for our lobby(but it will have to have green stuff on it!!!)
Best regards, Johnny White0 -
Do you need some Taco green paint?

Here is the antidote......
quick! Before it is too late!0 -
I'm thinking....
Maybe a couple of 3/4c bronze pumps at a nice 72° angle...maybe a couple pieces if chromed toilet supply going up the side like valve/rocker guides...
Or perhaps something really drooly in the Ducati vain? 90° V with some 2" floor escussions drilled out to resemble the huge front discs? Just thinking out loud.... C'mon HR, I know you can ! Chris0 -
sorry...
I still like mine better! BTW, windshields are for cars.0
