You got it marriage and business is not easy. I believe Winston Churchill said: "NEVER, NEVER, NEVER ! Give up." We just started our 6th year in business, and only now is it really starting tp pay off. Mad Dog

Today May 11 is our Anniversary. 14 years. Don't know how my wife has put up with me this long. Talk about a rough beginning. When we got married, she was working full time at Emery Worldwide and I was working full time for a P&H contractor, with plenty of side work. Within a month, she lost her job due to company downsizing and I quit my employer to go out on my own. We were renting at the time, 2 car payments, no health insurance, and I was just starting out. Needless to say the first year of our marriage was not easy. But 14 years later, I'm still in business, we have 2 beautiful children, my wife is a stay-at-home mom,(in addition to keeping the books for the business), we own our own home, and we're still here. I guess what I'm saying is don't quit when things get tough.

    Mr. Churchill it was.

One of my favorite speaches. An excerpt:

"Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never--in nothing, great or small, large or petty--never give in, except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy."

They don't write stuff like that anymore.

Would not have agreed with many of his political positions, but he surely was the man of the hour for ol' England in WW2.

But we digress. Congrats on your anniversary!

    Anniversary

I say this not to get sympathy, but to encourage you all. I have been without my best friend and the mother of my five kids now for almost 7 years and it is great to hear you appreciating your wives. Appreciate them and love them like there's no tomorrow.
