    Thanks for the reply ASHI is the one orginization that appears to be heads & shoulders above the rest. I appreciate your candor and straight-forward reply. In addition to which, your attitude regarding directing any abnormalities towards a pro is to be commended. You need a pro who tests the combustion process and can document the findings (our testing equipment has printers that detail all that's required, which covers everyone's **** - sets). CO testing in a case like the one you've described should be standard fare.

    Steve, it brings us back to the fabled 10 questions thread...

    ... that Paul Pollets started... his thread was concerned with installers/salesmen, but another threat could be started regarding the maintenance of extant equipment...
