Thanks guys. I looked at the testo home page/ products and searched for the model. I couldn't find it. I guess I didn't go to the right place!!!

    CO detectors

I am looking for CO detector's, for the service techs to have with them, which brands do you use, any info would be great. Marc
  • Bacharach or Testo

are both good units. You can visit there web sites for information.

    www.testo.com

    www.bacharach-inc.com

It is also important for personal protection to wear a belt type detector which monitors continously for protection. Testo is the one I am now wearing it is a Testo 317-3.

Other companies are UEI (Universal Enterprises Inc.) www.ueitest.com and TSI www.tsi.com which also make meters.

    UEI

I have both Bacharach and UEI testers. Returned Bacharach unit 3 times for service. Would strongly recomend UEI.
Use my testers almost every day. The boys at HTP also recomend UEI.

    I wear a

317-3 also. Went off walking into a dealership repair shop last week. We found out it was coming from a vehicle not 'on the hose'.

My high school buddy is the head mechanic there, he chewed his guy out bad. There really is a reason for connecting the hose to the venting system.

BTW, thanks to Tim for convincing me to wear one all the time. It's the first time it went off, thought it was my beeper, but I don't carry one :-)!
