Any idea what the thickness of concrete should be when installing radiant heat in a basement floor slab? Are there any details out there that describes how the floor should be poured?
Thanks.
Thanks.

is most common. Places may be 3-1/2 depending on the sub grade and prep work done
Generally you want 2" of concrete over the tube. Concrete experts claim 3 times the aggerate size over the top of the tube for a good concrete job. Pea gravel runs 3/8" diameter. Typical redi mix concrete will use a 1/2- 3/4" stone in the mix.
Really no special requirements for radiant in concrete. insulation below and along the edges, vapor barrier if the insulation does not provide it. And as always good subgrade prep, including compaction as needed.
