WC Ultra

Thank you Floyd, I really appreciate the feedback. Looking for a proven condensing boiler (domestic if possible) for my hot water business.

Installed many, have had no problems. They install easy and are extremely quiet. If you go to www.weil-mclain.com you can download all of the specifications and installation instructions on this boiler.

It is a great piece of equipment!!

    Have quite a few installed...

    some residential and some comm.
They install easily as far as the piping goes.... the elec. hookup in the back of the flue pipes can be a pita....if you are wall mounting the boiler, hookup all the electric before you hang it.
The piping must be done exactly as the intructions say to...
P/S and make sure that if you hook an indirect that you buy the correctly sized pump, this boiler loves lots of flow and will not work with out it. You can dry fire this boiler and not hurt it...,been there done that.... it is fairly idiot proof as far as those types of things go....
had a problem with plugs leaking, espec. in high temp. applications, but have got that figgered out.....use S/S ones now.
You can hook this puppy up to your PC via Gascom software and fine tune the crap out of it.....has built in OD reset, the DHW and the space heating firing rates can be programmed differently.
Basically the only problems that I have had wih the boilers have been self inflicted...I have had a few running nonstop in Agricultural applications for almost two years with no problems, espec. good considering that they run in the very corrosive envioronment of a pig farm. I have also documented that they were saving enough to pay for the boiler and the installation in months!!!
I have a radiant floor installation of over 10,000sq ft. that heats for less than many houses around here, at a max. of 120* water at -20.....flue temps. are usually under 100...flue temps are virtually always under the return water temps.

I guess ou can tell by now that I love this boiler....
    any ???'s fire away...

Most condensing boilers are not rated to heat otable water directly ,they usally have a heatexchanger or indirect hot water tank for domestic use .
