Look below the floor to see if there are a lot of nail poking through. This will determine how you will be able to install the system.

I prefer transfer plates fastened from below. With a nail porcupine, however, it may not be an easy go!

Suspended tube is another option. This method dangles the pex or PAP tube below any nail points. It requires warmer supply temperature and a good insulation package below.

If this is a small area, an electric retro fit may be better if you would like to run the floor without the boiler firing. Nice for shoulder seasons or even summertime floor warming.

    I have a bathroom with ceramic tile over poured floor (1\")...

    over plywood. can radiant still be aplied? A steam boiler replacement is in order and I'm thinking about using the condensate w/exchanger for the radiant. Is it feasible?
