Hydronics

I have a system that is not heating up and the pipes are loud. I feel that it is air. I purged the system for a temp. fix but I know that the system is not pumping away so I feel the the system is giving up it's disolved air in the hydronic loops. My question is i hear a "sloshing" sound in the hydronic piping. What exactly is that is it air and fluid mixture or am I off on my diagnosis?
Thank you
-Jesse

    air in pipes

yes I would say that your right about what you hearing it seems to be air in the pipes, I would check and see if the water feeder is woking properly if your not gotting any pressure in the system it will not heat and it may be getting air locked.also make sure that the auto vents are working if it is a small amount of air in the system it should purge it's way out of these vents. You may want to take a look at the piping to find any vissible signs of leaks and fix any you may find.
