Have a customer that needs to replace 6 Hoffman No.2A vacuum adjustable steam vents. According to our suppliers and the Hoffman web site they are no longer available. Does anyone know what available vent can be used for replacements?

Use the 1A
or something similar. Vacuum never worked well on oil or gas, because there was usually still some air in the system when the burner shut off. This air would expand under vacuum, blocking steam flow.
Vent the steam mains properly too. If we can't use vacuum, we can at least distribute the steam on a couple ounces pressure. Measure the length and diameter of each steam main and we can tell you what you need.
