Radiant heating in ceiling and walls

Walls and ceilings are perfectly good radiant emitters. Ceilings are best since we can be pretty sure no one will be nailing pictures onto it and possibly puncturing tubing. Walls and ceilings are a common system in Europe, but they predominately use the applied capillary tubes, since the tubes can be plastered into the wall or ceiling without adding much impact on the room dimensions or renovation logistics. Juan Rudek and his people market the stuff under the www.naturalcooling.com website, out of Chicago. The catch is that the capillary tubes are only made in Europe right now and cost $$ to get over here and installed. One can build up radiant walls and ceiling using 1/2" PEX and plate systems.
In fact the Utah climate is ideal for both radiant heat and radiant cooling. Doing a Google search on "radiant walls" and "radiant ceiling" will yield a lot more links and information as well.

radiant heating in ceilings and walls
I worked and lived on Long Island new York my entire life and now live in Utah. the vast majority of homes are heated by SCORCHED AIR. I swear the air comming from the vents are as dry as the summenr sun down here in Salt Lake City. That's Hot.!!!
I now work in an HVAC supply house and trying to teach the contractors of a better way of controling there customers comfort. My problem is that ,there are not alot of hydronic installers out here and any that do install Radiant Heat install it as a staple up or inbedded in concrete. My question is ; is radiant heat installed in ceilings and walls a good option of installation since the installation in floors could get extreamly costly when the flooring also needs to be replaced. I've seen it installed alot on Long Island in ceilings on old homes but I have no experiance in the retro fit market.
Any body with this experence that could give me any infomation will be greatly appreciated.
Any good books that you can recomend ?
Thank you.
