I've been thinking about spraying the gas pipes yellow; because that's the International color code for gas lines. Then stencil "gas" or whatever over in black. I envy you guys; nobody out here in the sticks cares about workmanship only cheapness.

I have been forced to think globally as HR suggested in a

previous post. This was the perfect installation for The Bradford White Combicor (USA). We needed one high temp zone
for a small sun rad zone, two radiant zones, and the water heater was on the way out. space was very limited. We felt lik Ron Jr on an average day. We really wanted to try out these multi speed pumps, but couldn't get Grundfos on short notice. So, as much as it killed me, we tried the Wilo (France). Hate to say it they work great. A 007 on the small hw zone would have been noisy. In fact, when I upped the pump to the higher speeds it was noisy. What a great feature. In the future I want to use the Grunfos because I have been told here that they atleast have a factory on California. Danfoss mixing valves (sweden?). Wolverine Brass ball valves (USA), Flow checks Taco (USA), copper fittings (South Korea)Canadian Copper. All worked out well. BUT PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
American manufacturers WAKE UP!!!! I have money for you. Why did the Euros have to upstage you on this technology. Please hurry up...as you know...I go out of my way to install USA. Hope you are listening. That's Albert-The-Production-Mechanic adjusting the speeds. Mad Dog

Danfoss is Danish I believe. Minor point but the Danes need the business now, what with their cartoonists in the Middle East...Grudfos is also Danish I think, originally but now have a home in Kansas. Not sure if their Clovis, CA plant is still active.
The Wilo French pumps? Variable speed? How fast to they run.. backwards?

All levels of US government have the edge on taxing US manufacturer real hard. The IRS is the only one that taxes you on your worldwide income (with a straight face, the IRS will claim there are schedules to reverse all the problems but you now how those recapture things go, one for me, none for you)

All this, while most other countries exempt from tax all things destined for export. Add the fact that here import business is not taxed as heavily as manufacturing is and you've got your mystery solved.

Don't blame manufacturers for lack of will, blame the government for its obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Thanks Christian. Yes.....and THAT!!! is why I am imploring them to get their PACs, lawyers and lobbyists on the march to repeal these draconian tax laws that are crippling all Americans. We all know how the Euros are heavily subsidized in R & D. That being said, what is left of U.S.A manufacturing needs to get VERY politically active and DUMP politicians that don't support them. Look at the leverage the NRA just exerted on Mayor Bloomberg and his gal pal. Mad Dog
