Big printing jobs easy as heck now

When you start the process you get the prices automatically for color of B&W prints. For example, I wanted 250 B&W flyers done last week and it cost me $23 for the order. Sure it costs more but that's what you pay for convenience. You can also take the copies in and print them yourself for a lesser charge. I just like the idea of not using my own expensive printer ink and copy paper!

    Call it a celebrity endorsement

FedEx Kinkos just scored a touchdown and two-point conversion with me. They have a new online printing program that allows you to order large quantities of copies by simply clicking on their logo when you are asked for a printer location. Instead of choosing your own printer the file is sent to a location of your choice and you can pick up the copies as soon as four hours later. All you have to do is download the program, which takes a couple of minutes. I can't believe how easy this is. Score a big victory for FedEx Kinkos for thinking this up.

    How are the prices, John?

Sounds interesting and very useful. How are the prices? There are no references made to the costs on the site.

    It's great but...

I've used this feature several times. It's not too expensive and saves a lot of time. However, a couple of times, their server crashed and lost my work. They sent me an email a day latter and asked me to resend. It never worked. I finally had to burn a CD and drop it off. When I got the stack back (it was a 300 page manual) it looked fine. However, a couple of weeks later when I needed to go back to the end of the manual... The last page was the printer dumping it's crash information and there it stopped...

    Technology sucks...

John, I have noticed a similar feature now being made available in some of the hotels I stay at. I can finish a document while in my room and for a reasonable fee (that can be charged to my room) send it to a printer located in the Hotels office.

I go to the front desk in less than an hour and it’s waiting for me.
