    unreal

When it rains it pours. I'm working on one right now. See a few threads back and take a look at the pics to see if this is similar to your job. The thread is called Vapor System.

The one I'm working on has a Trane 411 reciever I call it.

I'm in the process of getting more information on it.
  • more info @ the library

    Hi Flip,

There is a nice explaination of the Trane vapor system in the "Library" section of this site. Go to Library, then Steam vapor/vacuum systems, then Trane. Print it, learn it, live it.

Seriously, if you have any more specific questions, just post.

    Best regards, Pat

    Read all about it

    Trane Vapor Heating.

It pays to wander off the Wall. The Library is quite a resource!
    Retired and loving it.

    trane vapor/vacuum

    Dan

If this system runs in a vacuum what type of vent do i need on the end of the steam main? the Hoffman 4a seems to suck air at times and its a new vent. The piping at t he returns is exactly as pictured in the Trane manual from the library site.I have the stat low to save money on gas so the farthest radiator never gets very warm how can i speed this up?or can I?
