Oil line question

In the morning we are updating the oil filtration and doing boiler cleaning.
My oil tank is in a small add on building at ground level with a 1/2" line coming in and then going to the basement. Now it is plumbed with a shutoff at the tank, shutoff downstairs, filter, OSV, and T to the boilers.
We are adding a Garber to the mix.
Is the preferred string after the downstairs shutoff-- OSV, original filter as primary, Garber as secondary and then the T? i.e., move the OSV to be right after the shutoff?

I would put a garber w/ vac guage on both of your vega's.

OSV goes after filters
I would check the literature on OSV's but I believe that OSV's are not made to protect oil filters so it would go after the filters and before the tee sort of like it is now.0 -
Just what I would do
I like how you pipe. Great way to have continous monitorability ( is that a real word?) monitor Vac

Rather than
one garber w/vac guage before the T? Now that the burners are Reilo's (used 2b Beckett), we had discussed whether we still need the check valves after the T. Will be an educational experience to see the insides before the tech attacks with the brushes.0 -
Esp with Riello's. One Garber for each.

ChapChap70 is 110% correct on that statement.

Done
One each Garber with guage was installed as per your advice. Also added flex oil lines and lengthened the power line so the boiler doors can be easily opened now. Need to finish the brackets for the Garbers and one burner needs some tuning. It has a loud flame even though another .65-80W nozzle was used. Strange how twins can be so different. The tech is coming back to work on that.
And the new OSV was installed after the primary filter.
Thanks to you all for the info.0
