Proper Vaporstat Settings
I recently switched from a Pressuretrol to a new Honeywell Vaporstat for my one pipe steam (450EDR) with Weil McLain SGO-4 boiler.
I need some advice on the best settings:
With a cut-in of 2-ounces and cut-out of 6-ounces, all the radiators get hot accross all the sections, but the burner shuts off before the thermostat is satisified, so the Vaporstat cycles the burner on again (typically only once, after a one minute shut-off).
Should I be raising the cut-out? The pressure drop from 6-ounces to 2-ounces takes only around thirty seconds once the burner shuts off.
ThanksSteve from Denver, CO0 -
sounds like your okay
where your at..the vaporstat is doing its job at that point..since the radiators are getting hot, i'd leave it at that setting.
