Hi,
I'm looking to split my 2nd floor heating into a separate zone. The current system is one zone for both 1st and 2nd floors on a 1 and 1/4 in. steel pipe diverter tee hot water system. I'm looking to use 1 in. copper for the 2nd flr zone. I have two questions: 1) will the difference in pipe size create a pressure problem ? and 2) do I need to use a separate fill and backflow valve on the 2nd zone ?
Thanks
