    Wirsbo ???

My Wirsbo rep stopped by today so I asked about this extremely stupid name change. I wanted to now what was in it for all of the loyal customers that helped build that brand. Afterall, I invested in marketing Wirsbo and now its gone without any consideration for me or my business at all. He could not identify anything good about this change and little positive to say. I can't help but wonder how others feel about somone making big changes to thier business without being considered in the decision and without any clear advantage to the change. What is so special about Uponor? Frankly, I see no reason to stay with them. If I have to invest in changes I may as well invest in another line that will respect my business the way I thought Wirsbo did.

    Buying into the relationship

Uponor made a big mistake in trying to gain any marketing advantage by changing the name, after spending millions to brand Wirsbo. Well, so what?? I still get to deal with the best in the business and it could be worse...what if the parent company was called "Putzy"??

In the end, it's customer service that counts.

As long as the product quality stays the same , I don't care what they call it .

But is is kinda strange to change with such wide-range name recognition .

    Well said Paul,

And I gotta admit, their new ad, "From Wirsbo to Wierder" has won me over a little bit... that and the John Barba stuff we saw here a while back. I still say let's call it, "Barba-tube." There's name recognition for ya'! Kevin

    A rose is a rose.

And we no longer have to choose between the V sound and the W sound. I like it.
    Retired and loving it.

    Disappointing

I agree that the quality is still ok, I have had one or two small isues over the past year or two though. I also agree that I really don't care what a product is called as long as it fits my needs but in my area Wirsbo is the name. It is so well known that all radiant systems are generically called Wirsbo even when the products used are not from them. It took them 20 years to build the top brand in the industry and seemingly the stroke of a pen to distroy it. Oh well, maybe Uponor will carry the same weight in 20 years.
