Saw on the Weather Channel that the HIGH temps for the upcoming week will be in the -34 to -36 range. Thats cold. What are the overnight lows? And how do people afford the fuel bills?

The weather people are natural born Liars *~/:)
tell my van its 34 below nah it aint nothing like that if one goes off the beaten track around here there are places that are south of 48 50 today.
in England the barristers are known as lyerrs Buh they have to go to school for it, weather people dont it just comes natural :)been up in the hills today, fightin Satan Hes losing ground fast :)10 more degrees colders hes OTTA HERE! *~/:)sorry , i digress...
How do people manage to keep the fueloil companies habby? they gotta slave their collective buns off year after year in one of the most formidable climates on planet Earth
oh it is one heck of a day today, today the ice fog is setteling in and the cars vanish into the nights white fog or come flying out with their front headlights blinding them more that illuminating the road,on your way to work in the mornings ...
i just got home a bit ago from a rough in that i downloaded ABS and split and a finish job that i have been poking away at for a While now....the granite counter tops may be in tamale :)Hurray !,buh if it is too cold to bring them out they will be hanging around the granite guys shop for a WHILE Alaska ,contrary to popular belief is in its own time zone....two major times exist here Indians Time and Gods Time. all the hours stuff is just worn out monkey chatter
if all the indian guys bail from the job it means its Fishing or Hunting season...and Indian time seems to be in conjunction with Gods Time Both of these time zones work for me and so far its all reasonably propitious
i just got a phone call, zone is freezing up... now what might cause that? could it be joe homeowners electric heater underneath the thermostat? or maybe the door that was left open all day long???? or it is......? always fun adventures we have here..call comes in , "Its Cold here" ..."Well, it aint too warm over here either" )
"i have to ask buh did you try to make it to start your car today at lunch?" Was nt very warm then either "
i like these type conversations as the people know i am joking with them even though it is scarry serious topic.
right now it is going deeper into cold, The news people said last week it was going warmer ))) Yah gotta love their optimism *~/:) SOrry no heat gotta go...0 -

My dad used to say that being the weatherman was the only job in the world where you are right only 60% of the time and still be able to keep your job.

information incorrect
There was a study done some years ago and it was determined that weathermen are actually 100% correct!!!
It always does exactly what they predict. They just get their days mixed up. It sometimes takes years to do what they predict.
Sitting in the balmy city of Anchorage at 5 above. Forecasting 10 to 20 below for the last several days, but not getting that cold. 5 below is the coldest I've seen here so far this year.
